The whisper of the wind tousling at white-golden strands as though to impart unspoken secrets accompanies him even across the concrete jungles of Garlemald. Little space in the world does he inhabit, seeming to shrink away from the light-speckled paths that would attract the attention of others, seeking instead the quiet places where his presence is only noted by the soft rustling of leaves around quiet footfalls well-used to dwelling amongst far larger predators.Far from the sweeping grace witnessed in his solitude, the presence of others all too often reduces him to the gangly first steps of a clumsy fawn from fear of intruding where he oughtn't. If anything, his steps seem more self-assured amidst the world's darkest creatures than when interacting with those of his own ilk.

Sharlayan ReputationHvaldr(a)pe's surname bears a hefty reputation in Sharlayan circles. The Nordlys research family has been studying and categorizing dangerous relics for generations. The most prestigious member of the current family, Dr. -- Nordlys, presumably his grandmother, famously works in the [] in Labyrinthos with Hvaldr(a)pe as her former laboratory assistant.Curiously, the family is all Hrothgar, which means Hvald(a)pe must be adopted. Some long-standing residents of Sharlayan may remember the Nordlys family petitioning to adopt a young Viera child from a shipwreck nearby Sharlayan.

Hvaldåpe's aether is masked by a Sharlayan device that emits a false aether shield (?) around him. It masks an aetheric signature that's so thinned by (something) that he likely suffers from constant exhaustion.
